The Hunt for Red October theatrical release poster

The Hunt for Red October (1990) (DVD) Directed by John McTiernan (Predator (1987), Die Hard (1988); Last Action Hero, (1993)), starring Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, and others.  In this submarine thriller, based on the novel of the same name by Tom Clancy, set in the mid-1980s during the Cold War, Connery plays Marko Ramius, a decorated Soviet Commander of a new, silent-running nuclear missile submarine, whose intention to defect, or attack the US, is not clear.  Baldwin plays a CIA analyst, familiar with Ramius’ history.  The Hunt for Red October, which won the Oscar for Sound Editing in 1990, is an efficient, slightly claustrophobic, thriller and worth watching, if you don’t mind Connery wearing a hair-piece. (PR)

We recommend that you buy your DVDs.  Have a wonderful personal film library..
