Baba Brinkman

Clearly, this post cannot be avoided.  Our preferred evolutionary biologist, Olivia Judson, has written yet another interesting article, entitled “Darwin Got It Going On” in the Opinion section of The New York Times (online) looking at, unexpectedly enough, the hip-hop/theatre piece by Baba Brinkman entitled “The Rap Guide to Evolution”!!  Quite obviously a MUST for all bipedal mammals, at the very least.

The prickly pear cactus in the Galápagos Islands, ground-hugging elsewhere, here gets its inner tree going

Like clock-work, our preferred evolutionary biologist, Olivia Judson, writes a fascinating article for that venerable institution, The New York Times, and this week is no exception.  In the Opinion (still!) section, Judson’s latest article, entitled, well, admittedly it’s sort of silly, “Tree-mendous”, looks at, yes, trees, appropriately enough for the season, their life-styles, their history, and their, well, nature.

Evolving Sexual Tension – Science Marches On

Posted by the editors on Sunday, 4 April 2010

Olivia Judson

Olivia Judson, yes that’s Ms Judson’s photo above, certainly our favorite evolutionary biologist, has written a rather interesting article entitled, coincidentally, “Evolving Sexual Tension” in the Opinion section (this still rankles us) of The New York Times.  Life is different for males and females.

 Indonesian Islands

Knowing that everyone shares our passionate interest in evolutionary biology, we’re very pleased to provide this link to Olivia Judson’s informative and enjoyable, if one may say so, given the subject, article entitled “Divide and Diminish” in the Opinionator section of The New York Times (online).  Islands.  Everywhere.  And on top of it all, everything’s shrinking.
