Motoko Rich has written an interesting article entitled “In E-Book Era, You Can’t Even Judge a Cover” in the Books section of The New York Times (online) which looks at the role book covers play (have played, played) for readers, authors and publishers.  Is that War and Peace that you’re reading on your Kindle/iPad/whatever or is it Naked Lunch or the graphic novel version of Debby Does Dallas?
