Seven Pounds (2008)(DVD)  Directed by Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness (2006), also starring Will Smith), starring  Will Smith (Ali (2001), I, Robot (2004), The Pursuit of Happyness (2006), I Am Legend (2007), Hancock (2008))Rosario Dawson (Death Proof (2007, by Quentin Tarantino, part of the Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez double feature Grind House))Woody Harrelson (Natural Born Killers (1994), The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996), No Country for Old Men (2007), The Messenger (2009))Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan (1998), The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005), True Grit (2010)), and others.   Imposture, goodness, love, a sizable dose of sadness, morality and even a bit of humour mark Seven Pounds, which, despite a mostly negative critical reception, was a clear box-office success.  It’s true that Will Smith, even as a character carrying a rather overwhelming emotional load, is charming, and Rosario Dawson is not only lovely but wonderful as Emily Posa.  Some quite effective special effects and a good use of fragmented flash-backs add an edge to this sad love story. (PR)

We recommend that you buy your DVDs and Blu-ray disks.  Have a great personal film library..
